You wake up alone in a seemingly infinite hotel hallway.

You're tasked with writing down the names of all the tenants, but... something is following you.

<-><-><-><-><-><-><-><-><-><-><-><-><-><-><-><-><-><-><-><-><-><-><-><-><->

Your goal in this tense game is to type quicker than it can catch you, while also managing its approach by looking back. This little game uses binaural audio to enhance the experience, so headphones are required.

It should take about 10 - 20 minutes to complete, but just know that it is a tough typing game, so It may or may not be even possible for everyone to finish.

Controls:

WASD or Arrow keys to move / look.

Keyboard: Type stuff, duh.

This game is awesome! and just the idea of the game is really unique and creative. The jump scares are really creepy and got me multiple times :(

Hey! I played your game for a youtube video. I love the concept and atmosphere! Definitely got me spooked and had me stressing over trying to type fast 😂Though I had a couple deaths which were a bit confusing given that I thought I was doing everything right but still died somehow with no clear reason why. I still had a great time with the game though! Keep up the great work!

This game was genuinely terrifying! It reminded me alot of typing of the dead from when i was a kid which was super nostalgic! The audio was chillingly good! I really felt like he was running up on me!!

Haha, glad you liked it :)

(+1)

This is a cool concept! Also really got me stressing once u can hear the sounds! (1st game)

i love this game so much, dev one of my most fav horror games. The most i got to was 83 xD

(+1)

Ohh dang that’s crazy far! That’s around my max as well lol

what i also wanted to say is that the sound design is amanzing. I Mean like the running you hear or random talking or the kitchen sounds with the people speaking. You did a really good job with the game :)

Also the Music hits hard at Block 20

(+1)

Thanks man, that means a lot 😁  ‘Pretty happy with how it turned out too

The sound design and lighting of this game felt immersive. Even though the stalking entity doesn't match the artistic style of the environment (2d-sketch versus 3d model), it is still unsettling to look at, especially since it is unmoving and the lighting obscures a lot of its details from a distance.

My constructive feedback would be that the typing directions contain capitalizations yet the player's input does not need to be case-sensitive. Also, I thought checking behind myself was what I needed to do, to clear the hallway of the entity, but the entity can still triggers a game-over/restart, when in close proximity. Like, the entity does not trigger it, when it's in my face, but when I look away and look back at it several times, it will finally trigger the event. If no tips for entity evasion are provided at game start, I think how exactly the player loses the game should be more obvious, so they can learn from the experience.

Otherwise, it was a fun, unsettling experience! Thank you for sharing with us!

Hello! I played your game in my recent 3 Spooky Games video and yours is the 2nd game I played.

Even though I found it very challenging, I enjoyed it nonetheless and the game was just very good in how it was presented!

(+1)

this is the first horror game I have played in years and it scared me so badly that it will be the last

(+1)

I've never read anything more true. I almost broke my keyboard, and i hit my head on my chair when I jumped.

(+1)

SOO scary.. you can actually hear the direction of where the monster is coming from... it seriously felt immersive like he was in the room with me. true test of my typing survival skills lol

(+1)

the immersion of this game is incredible, the despair of having to type and at the same time running away from something makes me keep playing to see what happens, apart from that this furry animal is terrifying, one of the best indie horror games, without a doubt

(+1)

I've never had a harder time typing...

Glad you liked it ;)

Such a simple idea, but created in a very interesting and scary way. This game really got me "running" on my chair when typing these things while having this guy behind me, great game tuned for more!

(+1)

Its such a simple yet very tense/scary game. I find myself taking off my headphones before he can jumpscare me 10000000000/10

Thank you! I'm glad you're enjoying it >:)

It's so hard to type under pressure. I Tried my best. I couldn't type numbers to save my life. Literally ig

Haha nice, yeah it's definitely pretty tough. Block 49 tho, not too bad!

(+2)

This was AMAZING! First typing based horror game I've ever played, and it was so much fun. Genuinely intense gameplay with an amazingly designed monster and absolutely perfect sound design. This game has it all! Great work!
(+1)

Thank you so much, I'm very glad you liked it! Love the video :)

(+2)

First I died, then I broke it, THEN I beat it. Fun game! The jumpscare could be a bit more jumpscarey. :)

Well im trying to type "Type to continue"  but it doesnt finish the word when you begin a game so ur stuck in a black wall

Huh, well that's weird. Can you elaborate a bit more on that? Like, does the title disappear?

Deleted 38 days ago

Whenever i turn it doesnt turn fully like i see a wall everytime

Ah, well, unless it's a bug, to look back fully you have to press S, or down arrow. A/D or side arrow keys just make you look sideways.

can you make this game for mac

(-3)

That Game Was Awesome...
